It’s All About Composition

As noted in earlier blogs I have been for some time an avid photography hobbyist. Having lugged a camera to functions, excursions and just because,  I have managed to capture, probably as a result of more good fortune than talent  I suspect, some fairly nice pictures.

Of course,  any keen amateur will pick up a few tips along the way to help improve their photographic results too.  However, it was not until my daughter was studying photography at college that I first heard of the rule of thirds. 

For the tiny percentile who don’t know what I’m talking about here,  the rule of thirds is essentially all about composition. To put it simply the principle behind it is that a subject placed properly within a grid comprised of nine spaces will have more impact and aesthetic appeal than one centred in the frame.
