This past weekend, my husband and I had the pleasure of babysitting our 11-month-old granddaughter. An absolute delight with baby blues that beguile and a no-nonsense expression we like to call astute, she, as babies will, charmed her way into our hearts, the moment we first laid eyes on her.
The thing with our Little Miss is that while she’s clearly anxious to be on the move, she is conversely very patient about taking the necessary steps to get there. For this we are grateful. The reality, we recognize is that when she decides she’s going to walk, we’ll be walking, or running, right along with her. You can see she’s a goer, who just hasn’t found her feet yet.
So, as that time is fast approaching, it was nice this past visit to simply sit and watch her play. There’s nothing more entertaining than seeing little ones having fun. And here are collections of illustrations that show exactly how adorable that can be:
